Here, Biolage Education Team Artists put their heads—and hands—together to come up with three looks that hit the sweet spot for today’s unique, virtual worlds of work and play. With complete step-by-steps for giving your clients defined curls with a funky twist, soft, beachy waves, and a sleek, high ponytail, you’ll be sure to help your clients get the look they want.
GET THE LOOK: TEXTURED CURLS
For Hair Types 4 to 6 (3A to 4C)

Step 1: Apply Ultra HydraSource Shampoo on wet hair from root to tip and gently massage through. Repeat. The first shampoo removes dirt and buildup while the second shampoo cleanses and nourishes the scalp. After rinsing thoroughly, apply Ultra HydraSource Conditioning Balm through to ends with a wide-tooth comb. Massage for five minutes to add high shine. Rinse and towel dry.
Step 2: Apply All-In-One Coconut Infusion Multi-Benefit Spray throughout the hair to seal the cuticle. With curly hair, the cuticle is never closed unless the hair is smoothed.
Step 3: Layer Styling Geleé and HydraSource Conditioning Balm in small sections, twisting as you apply to tame frizz. For the most defined curls, air dry.
Step 4: Tilt head forward and shake to create volume and roundness. Using fingers, part hair into V-shape. Use a hairdryer and Complete Control Hairspray to mold the desired shape.

For Hair Types 1 to 3 (1 to 2C)

Step 1: Apply VolumeBloom Shampoo onto wet hair from root to tip. Rinse and repeat. Comb VolumeBloom Conditioner through mid-lengths and ends for five minutes, then rinse.
Step 2: Apply All-In-One Coconut Infusion Multi-Benefit Spray throughout the hair and comb through. This will prime hair for styling and provide heat protection. Then apply Whipped Volume Mousse throughout to add grip and hold.
Step 3: Using a brush, dry the roots away from the scalp with a hairdryer to add volume to the root area.
Step 4: Using a 1½ -inch barrel tong, take medium-sized sections and use the ‘twist and wrap’ technique to create soft, smooth waves.
Step 5: To finish, apply Complete Control Hairspray onto a finishing brush and start to dress out the waves. By applying your product onto the brush first, it ensures you have even product distribution.

Step 1: Apply SmoothProof Shampoo onto wet hair from root to tip. Rinse and repeat. Comb SmoothProof Conditioner through mid-lengths and ends for five minutes, then rinse.
Step 2: Apply All-In-One Coconut Infusion Multi-Benefit Spray throughout the hair to improve manageability, control flyaways, and add shine.
Step 3: Use your blowdryer and a ceramic round brush to smooth out the hair.
Step 4: Position the ponytail on the top of the head using a paddle brush to bring the hair together in small sections. Once each section is flat and has the same tension, apply Styling Gelée for control.
Step 5: Secure in place with an elastic, then wrap a small piece of hair around the base of the ponytail to hide it, using Styling Gelée to finish.
