The 2019 SalonCentric Future Pro Awards are back for the second year in a row, just in time for Premiere Philadelphia this September. The student hairstyling competition encourages entrants to show off their passion, skills and creativity by creating a cut, color or style that’s unique to them. Judges will be searching for submissions that demonstrate seamless execution, profound creativity and presentation that begs to be seen.

Last year’s winner, Kaylin Jackewicz (@kayjackhair) of Summit Salon Academy Tampa, took home top honors for her submission of “Briar Bliss” after being inspired by animal life and the Brothers Grimm fairy tale, “Sleeping Beauty”. She said, “Winning this award is astounding. I never thought I could actually excel in something like avant-garde, and I feel like this may shape my career in the future and set it on the right course.”
