WHAT IS THE TECHNOLOGY OF THE NEW VRo SHADES?
The new Violet Rose shades are calibrated by level to account for natural undertones. This allows for deposit to be true-to-tone for optimal reflect visibility. All shades contain no background + violet/rose reflect.
CAN I REFRESH WITH THE NEW VIOLET ROSE SHADES?
Yes. Shades EQ Gloss Violet Rose shades can be used to refresh previously colored strands and are also the perfect 1 to 1 match to Color Gels Lacquers Violet Rose shades. As always, Redken recommends adhering to the color mantra when using the new VRo shades, which states that permanent color should only touch virgin hair. Use any alkaline color formula on Zone 1, and always use acidic Shades EQ color on Zones 2 and 3 for amazing condition and shine.
HOW DO I MIX THE NEW VIOLET ROSE SHADES?
The new Violet Rose shades are mixed following the same mixing and processing directions as the existing Shades EQ Gloss palette. Mix in a 1:1 ratio using Shades EQ Gloss Processing Solution or Processing Solution for Precision Application. Always mix in equal parts and use immediately.
WHAT IS THE PROCESSING TIME FOR THE NEW SHADES EQ GLOSS VIOLET ROSE SHADES?
The processing time for the Violet Rose shades is the same as for the existing Shades EQ Gloss palette. Standard processing time is 20 minutes at room temperature.

The Violet Rose shades are intermixable with all Color Gels Lacquers shades with the exception of any shades containing Carmin’R and R5 dyes. Mixing the Violet Rose shades with Color Gels Lacquers shades containing Carmin’R and R5 dyes is not recommended and can lead to unpredictable results.

The Violet Rose shades will not provide gray coverage as standalone shades as they contain no background. However, they can be intermixed with any of the Color Gels Lacquers superior gray coverage families when coverage is desired.
