As the beauty industry continues to evolve and adapt due to COVID-19, our community proudly keeps on displaying its resilience, reimagining and redefining the way we do business. And SalonCentric is no exception. In making the digital pivot so many in the industry have had to do in order to cope with the effects of the pandemic, SalonCentric has also taken the first steps to reinvent one of the biggest touchpoints for the professional beauty community to learn, gather and grow together.

With Beauty Connect, SalonCentric creates an AI-powered virtual beauty show experience allowing attendees to be transported into an immersive and interactive digital show complete with classes, platform presentations, the ability to socialize with other industry pros and even to shop an exhibit floor. And all from the comfort of your home, salon or office.

“Because education is at the core of all we do, we thought it was important to offer stylists the ability to be inspired and learn from an array of talented, exceptional artists and educators. And that's what we accomplished with Beauty Connect," says Brittany Hickman, VP of Education & Shows for SalonCentric.

Beauty Connect brought together over 4,000 stylists from across the country and 40+ brands on a 3D exhibit floor and 14 classrooms to engage in over 100 classes for in-depth education and 98 opportunities for Continuing Education.

For stylist Bonnie Rarick, “This was an awesome experience, well planned, well executed. I loved all of my educators and I loved the ability to shop. Beauty Connect helps stylists who cannot attend shows due to other commitments at home. Plus, it cuts travel costs and we are able to attend in our PJs. I loved every minute of it.” And according to Salon Success Consultant Julie DiPasquale, “One of my stylists who is a super techie loved this format and the avatars. She said it was super easy to move around the floor and thought this was such a great idea and well done in lieu of a live show.”

“It was important that we had something for everyone, from technique and trend classes to inspirational stage presentations and meaningful conversations about our industry and the importance of the work we do,” says Hickman. “But it was also important that we found ways in this new platform to do that in an engaging way. We learned a lot about what worked, what could be improved and we'll be making changes based on the feedback we received about the event. So, stay tuned for an even better Beauty Connect in January.”
