The latest in SalonCentric’s online education programming features celebrity stylist and industry great, Redken Master Artist Ruth Roche (@ruthroche). SalonCentric Education in partnership with Redken presented the 2.5-hour, continuing education-eligible session of “Hands-On: Cutting Your Way Back with Ruth Roche” to 50 participants, and facilitated by fellow Redken artists Chris Baran (@coachchrisbaran), Laura Frazier (@hairzillaa) and Brian Washburn (@brianwashburnhair).
In this highly interactive, hands-on class, Roche guided participants through two dry cutting styles: a long layered cut accentuating shorter layers around the face and longer layers in the back, and a textured bob. “Think of this as layers without the commitment,” says Roche, and perfect for those clients who want to try something different but aren’t willing to give up length. The two looks are intended to give stylists the ability to work quickly as they return to the salon while giving their clients super wearable hair. It’s exactly the kind of technical education needed right now as the professional beauty industry moves forward. Keep watching to learn all the tips and tricks, and invaluable advice to apply to your new normal.
And don’t forget to catch our next big session called The Beauty Broadcast on May 18, 2020 featuring #ItTakesAProTeam artists Daniel Mason-Jones (@danielmasonjones), Mireya Villareal (@mireya_villareal), Shayla Robertson (@samirasjewelry) and Adrienne Dara (@adriennedara).
