This video will walk through the best practices for color correcting services on a previous direct dyed model, wanting to return to her natural color. Malibu C recommends beginning every corrective coloring service with Color Disruptor and CPR to naturally remove unwanted artificial pigment without compromising the integrity of the hair or lifting the natural color.

Product Benefits

Malibu C Un-Do-Goo Shampoo: This 100 percent vegan, sulfate-free clarifying shampoo removes product resins while eliminating excess oils, buildup and dirt from the hair without stripping natural moisture.

Malibu C Color Disruptor: When paired with Malibu C CPR, the Malibu C Color Disruptor’s helps to loosen and disrupt stubborn color molecules. It is not an artificial pigment remover on its own and must be paired with CPR because it is a non-oxidative. The disruptor is ideal for both oxidative and non-oxidative dyes.

Malibu C CPR: Using an Antioxidant Vitamin Complex, Malibu C’s CPR naturally removes unwanted pigment from both oxidative and non-oxidative hair colors. It removes metallic minerals without re-darkening color or producing harsh odors. By activating the product directly before application, stylists receive maximum potency of the active ingredients. Stylists can expect to see one to two levels of artificial pigment removal in one application.

The purpose of beginning a corrective color service with the Color Disruptor and CPR is to remove as much of the artificial pigment as possible without oxidizing and compromising the integrity of the hair. Once you have removed as much artificial pigment as possible with this first step, it is recommended to then use Malibu C’s DDL XL if additional pigment removal is desired. This direct dye lifter is an oxidative product for shifting natural hair color without compromising the hair’s integrity. The model in the video requested to go back to her natural level and therefore, DDL XL was not necessary.

Follow up with your desired color application and end the service with a hair reconstructor or favorite Malibu C conditioner.
